Position Summary and Principal Activities:
This candidate will report to the Sr. Director of US PNH Marketing.  Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

Customer Insights and Engagement

  • Develop and execute key meetings, including National Advisory Boards to obtain feedback and insight on business challenges and opportunities
  • Develop strategy for identified stakeholders as a result of customer insight from advisory board.
  • Management of PNH Speaker’s Bureau, including speaker management, bureau management
  • Create and execute ongoing training for promotional speakers, including Faculty Development Meetings and other key tactics for ongoing training
  • Manage development of key slide decks for PNH speakers, including disease, treatment and diagnostics
  • Develop collaborative relationships and plan for Alexion engagement with Key Opinion Leaders in the hematology and hematopathology space
  • Brand Strategy and tactical implementation
  • Support development and implementation of US strategic and tactical marketing plans  with  a focus on Digital and NPP
  • Lead strategic direction and implementation of tools for the HemPath audience
  • Cultivate strong relationships with cross functional teams, including global marketing, market research and the field sales organizations to develop market insights
  • Communicate effectively to all levels of Alexion staff and management
  • Manage budgets and resources

 

Job Requirements:

 

  • Experience developing marketing strategies and tactics, with a focus on solid implementation of tactics through a combination of individual and team efforts
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects across functional areas, and work independently when appropriate, in teams and as a sub-team lead
  • Must have 7+ years pharmaceutical industry experience and a working knowledge of marketing principles, including key principles of brand management, professional promotion and the sales process
  • Experience in managing external agencies and/or vendors on a day-to-day basis and budget management
  • Experience in selling specialty and/or orphan drugs preferred
  • Experience in marketing specialty and/or orphan drugs preferred
  • Experience in selling specialty and/or orphan drugs preferred
  • US and International (global) experience is highly preferred

 

 Other Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, Graduate Degree Preferred
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
  • Strong organization, planning and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills 

 

Position is based in New Haven HQ. Certain activities may involve travel approximately 30-50% of the time and involve weekend programs
