  • Responsible for Elanco’s Analytics and Digital data platforms and processes
  • Input on multi-year roadmap
  • Technical lead on data & analytics
  • Education and drive of data and analytics capabilities into the Elanco global business
  • Operational responsibility working with the web operations support team
Analytics & Data platforms and processes
  • Analytics tooling and capabilities established and documented
  • Subject matter expert for analytics and data platforms
  • Processes clearly established and documented to operationalize usage of any platforms or tools
  • Cross functional working with other teams in the commercial space to assist in the integrate digital and non-digital customer touch points
  • Responsible for quality / validation of the Data and Analytics platforms, working with Quality IT
    1. Building inventories of where data is being collected and what is being collected
    2. Ensuring the appropriate logging and statements are used to keep us compliant with the platforms we are using
Road mapping responsibility
  • Ownership of the roadmap for data and analytics liaising with the Digital Architect to ensure it fits with the overall digital IT roadmap
  • Internal and external network built to inform the future tools and approaches Elanco could adopt in the data and analytics space
  • Multi-year outlook building a plan to accommodate recognized future business need
  • Ability to see the big picture borrowing from internal and external expertise
Technical lead
  • Working with Digital data tools, implementing them into websites
  • Building a digital data layer
  • Integrating with other sources such as salesforce
  • Understanding and interpreting what the data means
  • Building a sound architecture using established technologies such as Tealium to create a true single view of the customer
  • Working with vendors to build the vision and implement technology where needed
Education and drive into the Elanco business
  • Influencing technical and non-technical leadership into supporting the analytics and data roadmap
  • Understanding how tooling and platforms map to business opportunity to educate and drive uptake of data and analytics
  • Educating compliance teams to increase the ability to use data and analytics in Elanco. Ensuring Elanco maintain compliance whilst providing a positive customer experience across our digital touchpoints
  • Identification of low performing digital tools and assets. Challenging of low performing assets with look to gain an investment or retirement decision from the asset owner
  • Elanco business education on using data tools to drive insight and decision making on digital assets
Operational responsibility
  • Working with our digital web operations team to operationalize implementation of any analytics and data tooling build into our digital assets
  • Keeping our ServiceNow and Ignite inventory fully up to date at all times where appropriate
  • Continuous improvement of processes increasing the speed of implementation of platforms or tooling into our digital assets using the Digital Reference Architecture blueprint
  • Clearly articulated roadmap for year on year delivery
  • Complete digital inventory, up to date and auditable
  • Alignment with Lilly processes, roadmap and platforms
  • Platforms and tools fully patched, functional and aligned with strategy and roadmap
  • Compliance & Quality documentation and processes fully up to date and audit ready
  • Technology portfolio rationalisation as a result of appropriate measures of successful digital assets
  • Data layer design and build

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a Web technology related role
  • Any post-grad qualifications desirable (such as Master’s degree) in IT, Informatics or IT related subjects
  • Depth of knowledge in Digital Technology (specifically Analytics & Digital data technologies)
  • Knowledge of broader Digital platforms and tools
  • Knowledge of SEO, SEM and tooling would be beneficial
  • 5 years in-depth experience with digital and Web. Would benefit from knowledge of some of the following tools: Google Analytics, Webtrends, Tealium, Hadoop, Alteryx, Tableu.
  • Experience in Service Management and Vendor Management
  • Demonstrated experience in leadership of complex projects
  • Demonstrated experience innovation and improvement to a technology area
  • 3 years of technical leadership roles that have global systems, impact and implications.
