The Associate will report to the Director Treasury, and will work out of the Amgen Capability Center located in Tampa, Florida. Our new Tampa Capability Center provides essential services that enable us to better pursue this mission. This state-of-the art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a meaningful impact at one of the world’s leading biotechnology companies.
Primary responsibilities will include the following:
Reviews all orders that come on automatic credit hold to evaluate whether they can be released or need to be escalated according to Customer Finance Policy guidelines
Responsible for collections and resolution of all past due items, including disputed items
Works directly with wholesalers as well as other Amgen departments to understand disputes and either get them resolved through credit memos or collection from the wholesaler
Escalates to Sr. Manager when unable to collect/resolve
Responsible for clearing and resolving all old credits
Prepares monthly cash forecast for US receivables collections
Prepares monthly reports on past due invoices and deductions and reviews with management
Works with Cash Application group and/or wholesaler to reconcile accounts when needed
Responsible for documenting collection efforts within software tool and following up with wholesalers and internal departments to fully resolve open past due A/R
SAP system expert for Customer Finance
Participate and contribute in SAP improvement projects
5% domestic travel is possible
Associate’s degree and 4 years of Finance experience
High school diploma / GED and 6 years of Finance experience
Customer Service or Customer Finance (commercial credit and collections) experience
Understanding of financial statements and financial ratios
Akritiv (collection and dispute resolution software) experience
