  • We are seeking an Assistant Scientist for our Safety Assessment site.
  • Working as an Assistant Scientist, you’ll join a team whose main functions are to perform quantitative analysis of drugs and/or metabolites in biological samples (usually fluids such as plasma, serum and urine) and to perform immunological assessments in biological samples (including determination/quantification of anti-drug antibodies and analysis of cytokines and other biomarkers). 
  •  The biological samples arise from both preclinical and clinical studies aimed at providing data for the development and registration of pharmaceuticals.  
  • You will be fully trained in all aspects of these studies, including sample processing, set-up/operation of immunoassay analytical systems, data processing and data review, so that you can play a full role in the conduct of bio-analytical studies.


Requirements:
The following are minimum requirements related to the Assistant Scientist position.
  •  Application of immunoassays
  • Bio-marker assessments using standard assays
  • Data processing and checking


You should have: -
  • Honours degree (or equivalent) in Immunology, Biology or a related discipline
  •  A working knowledge of immunochemistry/immunobiology techniques
  • Experience of multiplex bio-marker assays
  •  Ability to communicate effectively and have good problem solving skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and record data accurately
