Business Summary
  • Your primary role will be to provide husbandry and technical research services for the  program, to include culture of live feeds, health checks, quality assurance, all required documentation and maintenance of the aquatic support equipment, establishing and maintaining performance levels consistent with and according to our  company standards.
  • Responsible for daily husbandry to zebrafish, clinical observations, maintenance of the facilities(sanitation of housing rooms & equipment), receipt of incoming animals & supplies, maintenance of relevant facility records, fulfilling research requests, animal transfers and relocation.



 The following are minimum requirements related to the Aquatics Specialist position.
  • Education:  High school diploma, General Education Degree (G.E.D.) or equivalent required.  Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in animal or life sciences field preferred.
  • Experience:  Two (2) years’ experience working with aquatic species in a professional environment.  Qualified candidates will have well developed interpersonal and communication skills, a strong commitment to providing and ensuring quality zebrafish care and facility operations in accordance with Laboratory Animal Care regulations/standards and ability to trouble shoot situations based on previous experience.
  •   An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure:  AALAS ALAT certification.
