Business Summary
  • We are seeking an experienced Animal Care Technician for our Insourcing Solutions site.
  • Your primary role will be performing husbandry and technical tasks to provide comprehensive care for rodents, rabbits, dogs and/or NHP including: daily health observations, feeding/watering, sanitizing cages and enclosures, environmental enrichment, handling and restraint and related tasks.
  •  Routinely perform cage-wash and sanitation duties; maintain inventory supplies; restock gowning stations.


Requirements:
The following are minimum requirements related to the Animal Care Technician position.
  • Education:  High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience:  Two to four years related husbandry experience in a laboratory animal facility.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the requirements as listed above.
  • Certification/Licensure:  AALAS certification at the Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician level (ALAT). 
  • Uncertified candidates will be required to achieve certification at the ALAT level within one (1) year of hire/promotion required.
