communicating with clients, my commitment to ongoing training and personal development and my

passion for providing the highest level of customer support

Current Experience

  • Technical Advisor Reading, United Kingdom
    Since September 2015

As a technical services advisor, I maintain the professional image of Bayer Animal Health within the UK

pharmaceutical industry and meet industry standards of pharmacovigilance. This is achieved through excellent

product aftercare to support and grow the Bayer product range and a thorough and professional approach to

mediation between the corporate, public and professional stakeholders. Within my role, I take reports of adverse

reactions, efficacy queries, product technical complaints, general product enquiries, provide technical resources

for external meetings including veterinary conferences and events as well as providing support for my other

Bayer colleagues including the sales and marketing team. I communicate easily and effectively to manage the

challenging discussions our team encounters. Throughout all communications with Bayer’s varied customer

base, I maintain courteous professionalism at all times and aim to achieve a strong relationship and continued

confidence with Bayer products. Since beginning with Bayer in September 2015, my responsibilities have

expanded from primarily product support services including pharmacovigilance duties and database

management, to becoming part of the administration team. In this time I have completed essential courses

including further communication development, product knowledge development and pharmacovigilance

training to ensure I am successful in my role and achieve a high level of job satisfaction knowing that I am able

to meet the challenges presented and provide an excellent service.

Past Experience

  • Pet food territory manager Field Based
    January 2015 --- September 2015

My role as a territory manager involved a variety of tasks as ambassador for Virbac providing a professional

image and high level of support to veterinary practices. Through my involvement I enabled practices to

implement development plans, increase turnover whilst also providing ongoing technical support and training

for staff. I provided a direct interface with veterinary professionals to ensure the highest level of endorsement

for Virbac products. This experience enhanced my ability to communicate successfully with a variety of people

and I am happy both dealing one on one and leading training sessions with multiple people. I am innovative and

find it easy to spot trends and therefore develop the business faster. The job required a high level of organisation

including keeping up to date with various admin activities including weekly reports, managing a database and

producing practice analysis. During my time at Virbac I attended training sessions on communication to allow

me to improve and develop my skills in dealing with various clients and situations.

  • Veterinary Nurse Alton, United Kingdom
    November 2012 --- December 2014

As a member of the qualified nursing team I carried out a variety of tasks to support the veterinary team. These

included surgical nursing including anaesthesia, schedule 3 nursing procedures, in patient care, radiography and

ultrasonography work and laboratory technician. The two areas I found particularly satisfying were client

communication and education via my role in managing the introduction and implementation of Nurse clinics

and the promotion and sales of retail brands that were new to the practice.

In 2013 I carried out a 6 week course in Nurse Clinics, this enabled me to understand the techniques involved in

introducing a new service into a business, including researching local areas to ensure initial ideas were original

therefore minimizing competition and maximizing success rate. I developed overall plans on how each clinic

should run, including evaluating cost to clients that would achieve the greatest client attendance whilst allowing

the practice to increase turnover. I also developed my knowledge for suitable marketing aids including client

literature, the use of social media, practice website and in house displays and how to make the most effective

    use of them to reach the greatest number existing and potential clients. My responsibilities also included;

ensuring correct training is in place where appropriate, liaising with staff to ensure smooth appointment booking

and ensuring clients have staff continuity, which plays an essential role in compliance and overall satisfaction.

Aspiring to the highest level of day to day management ensures that the clients, patients and our team achieve

    excellent care and support.

My first retail challenge was the opportunity to manage and promote the Virbac Vet Complex brand of pet food

to the practice. This was an unknown brand following a reputable and proven product but through careful

advertising, promotions and inspiring staff training, we have achieved a highly successful 100% increase in

sales. This was appreciated by the practice and a further opportunity arose to take on the responsibility for

managing the retail section of the practice. This challenge has again utilized my skills in marketing and

promotion but also given me the opportunity to choose the range and then evaluate stock selection and

appropriate profit margins. During the first 3 months I increased retail sales, on average per month, by 800%.
