after +30 years experience in the chemical industry and supply chain i can offer a wide range of experiences. my first experience as Lab manager R&D and qc as well as quality manager was followed by a stunning experience as Production Manager in a crop protection unit. the biggest part of my Career however is a journey from Customer Satisfaction management towards a full-grown Supply Chain Management. this period is characterized by several significant changes such as: • introduction of SAP into the organization. • a carve-out (management buy-out) from the multinational ucb towards an small but focused company taminco • acquisition of both european and us companies into tamico and subsequently the integration of all world-wide supply chain teams concerned. • continuous adaptation of the supply chain organization in order to cope with the swift growth and increasing complexity/ legal requirements. • set-up and introduction of a automated and integrated Forecasting / s&op / master Planning in co-operation with both internal and external partners (omp) my strengths are people- and Change Management. i speak, read and write fluent 4 languages: dutch, English, German, French and …a little italian. what are guiding themes of jo verberckt? * although i’m not really a commercial guy, customer focus is my first guiding theme. my belief that customers are our sole reason for existence and we that can make the difference by making focussing on them, was confirmed during the different steps in my Career. * the second guiding theme that runs through my Career is the vision that the individual talent can only render if it is framed in a strong team spirit within a matrix structure. i do not believe in the manager-specialist but rather in the manager-Coach who ensures that his team/specialists can work in the best conditions and understanding. however, i believe both aspects are only possible in a company where the corporate culture allows and encourages it.

    • moving order entry from brussels to ghent and set-up of an almost brand-new team. • integration and optimization of loading & unloading teams. • introduction of SAP (sd module) in ghent as “first Teacher” for the ghent order entry team. • rollout of the new Supply Chain organisation and principles to the affiliates; both on the use of SAP as their functional management. • responsible for the creation of Supply Chain department during and after the carve-out of taminco from ucb. • responsible for the administrative integration of the european methylamine division of air products after the acquisition by taminco. • key person for administrative integration of the methylamine us department of air products after the acquisition by taminco. • establish Supply Chain department whose parts order entry, production Planning and Logistics & distribution. (a total of approximately 35 fte by 2014) • introduction of a monthly working capital Analysis and their subsequent corrective actions. • emphasizing the importance of a proper customer complaint / near misses philosophy and performing the subsequent corrective actions. follow-up for the Supply Chain department involving the different teams. • Project Manager for developing an s & op Strategy (blueprint) • team Member of the elaboration and rollout of the chosen blueprint with om partners.

    • introduction of quality concepts and spirit such as capability (cpk among others) linked to customer specific requests coming from the Sales force. (juran- philosophy) • issuing first iso 9002 and subsequently ISO 9001 files • set up of a formalised customer complaint system for the entire division.

    • introduction of new Analytical methods such as HPLC; ir; aas,. • automating the different Lab’s • set up of a team of chemists who performs Analysis in continuous shifts and subsequently advises the production teams how to optimise and stabilise their processes. • develop and start up a water Treatment plant for chemical pre-Treatment in anticipation of a bio-filter.
