I believe that with my combined background in the chemical and semiconductor/solar industry, I will be good match for upcoming jobs in the nanohealtcare world, where an expertise in semiconductor processing will also be required.

Currently, I’m working as a Sr. Researcher (Assistant Manager) at Kaneka Belgium N.V as an assignee at the imec premises, where I’m responsible for the chemical processing from R&D phase up to transfer to production site in Japan (about 8-12 weeks a year). This work also includes literature and patent-prior art searches and keeping up to date with the market, competitor and innovative trends. This resulted in a silver patent award within the Kaneka Corporation.
My experience at Kaneka Belgium reflects >4.5 years in a corporate R&D environment and I obtained my PhD in the high tech campus of imec. During these 10 years I have been able to strengthen my skills within an international team. During my PhD I received an outstanding student award at the UCPSS conference.

Current Experience

  • Sr. Researcher
    Since October 2012
Working at Kaneka Europe Photovoltaic lab as Sr. Researcher/Assistant manager, I'm responsible for the wet processing related to texture - cleaning - plating - nanotechnology - ... which can be implemented in thin film technologies. New processes are developed and patented in Belgium at lab scale and transferred to the production in Japan

Past Experience

  • PV researcher
    January 2011 --- September 2012
PV researcher - Si etching - texturing and cleaning

  • researcher
    September 2010 --- December 2010
Study the etching mechanism of highly doped Si substrates in HF

  • PhD student
    August 2006 --- August 2010
PhD title: HF etching mechanism of heavily doped Si
