Expert in vectorology, cancer-targeted gene therapy & process development of viral vectors manufacturing (PhD & post-doc research). Author of multiple scientific papers and co-inventor of a patent in this field. Since 2000, I am Project Director at Henogen SA, a Spin-Off of Université Libre de Bruxelles. Henogen is a Contract Manufacturing Company (CMO) active in the process development & manufacturing of preclinical & clinical batches of various biotherapeutics.

    Leading of the R&D team at Novasep Process Belgium (ex Henogen). As part of the Novasep CMO activity, analytical development, development & scale-up of upstream & downstream processes of biopharmaceuticals destined for preclinical or phase I to III clinical trials, including recombinant proteins (API, MAb, subunit vaccines), attenuated /pathogenic wildtype (up to BSL3) viruses & viral vectors/vectorized vaccines. Budget, ressources & planning assessment for PD activities. Management of analytical & process development activities. Management of external & internal (with cGMP manufacturing teams) technological tranfers. Report to the Novasep Process Belgium CEO.

It was acquired in July 2009 by NOVASEP, a leading producer of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and purification technologies for the life science industries ( Management of process development and manufacturing of preclinical and phase I-II clinical batches of a variety of biotherapeutics, with a focus for recombinant proteins expressed in prokaryotic systems, attenuated viruses & viral vectors.
