I am a postdoctoral geneticist working as a scientific advisor and medical writer with special interest in genetic epidemiology and with professional experience as a scientific writer and editor since 2006.
To date, my research interests have been focused on the study of genomic variation in human populations, its implications for population history, and the evolution and epidemiology of complex diseases. Recently, I have been interested in new approaches to a better understanding of genome-wide patterns of population structure and admixture, the effects of selection, and the characterization of linkage disequilibrium patterns and gene flow estimates.
Likewise, I have been involved as an assistant university professor in the teaching of subjects such as Human Biology, Biological Anthropology, Human Genetics and Epidemiology of Complex Diseases.
I am also a proven educational trainer in areas like epidemiology, clinical trial design, genomics, personalized medicine, and non-interventional studies, among many others.
