    IWT-SBO BrainSTaR project BrainStaR was a strategic basic research (SBO) project funded by the Flemish IWT in its 2008/2009 SBO call. The project focuses on the development of a fully implantable microsystem for brain stimulation and recording. The project has started on January 1, 2010 and has finished on April 30, 2014. The BrainSTaR project consortium consisted of 6 partners of which 1 R&D center, 1 SME, 1 multinational, and 3 university groups with Imec as overall project coordinator.
