Aurélie Candi is a Scientist in dynamic and challenging teams with international challenges and expanding goals. Colleagues are often describing me as somebody very creative, autonomous and pro-active that is able to work under pressure and with tight deadlines, while being enthusiastic and optimistic. I have proven that I can adapt to very diverse fields of expertise and enjoy communicating progress to colleagues and departmental heads. I liked a lot leading a drug discovery programs from target positioning to candidates screening My studies have allowed me to acquire a strong expertise in cellular and molecular stem cells biology. Theoretical introduction to GMP, pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacoviligance and new EU regulations, Regulatory Affairs (PHARMED Module participants) Mobility: Europe and abroad High willingness to travel Experimental skills: Mammalian Cell Culture, Mice breeding, transfection, samples collection, immunolabelling, fluorescence and brightfield microscopy, designing cell-based assays for in vitro Proof-of-Concept of drug candidate DNA and RNA extraction, PCR Flow cytometry, ELISA

Current Experience

  • Scientist Translational Cell Biology
    Since June 2012
    - Identify national and international KOL’s for internal projects and establish successful collaborations by contracts - Set up a collaboration together with the Laboratory of translational Genetics (VIB) for translating genome-wide data to findings for disease selection, patient stratification and biomarkers identification - Initiate and participate to key brainstorm sessions with the team and experts to reach project deliverables - Design robust cell-based assays for in vitro PoC of validated targets, MoA and for prediction of patient stratification; - Determine biomarkers expression in in vitro models for target validation and cancer indication selection; - Project management from target discovery to drug development - People management - Installation of a CDF facility and SOPs redaction for safe use of cytostatic drug by personnel
