  • Project researcher
    June 2005 --- September 2012
From 2005 to 2008 I worked as a researcher in a project called Options of Privatization and Shared Responsibility. The project was financed by The Ministry of Labour and it aimed to study private, public, and third sector organizations and develop their cross-sectoral work activities. My main responsibilities were, in cooperation with the Project Manager, to collect data, plan and conduct development projects in three organisations and to produce reports of the results. I conducted a Change Laboratory in a private company Finex and assisted actively in two others from the public/third sector, the City of Tampere and the Work Foundation Tekevä. In addition to the research work I assisted in the project administration. The findings included indentification of conflicts at work and suggestions for resolving the conflicts. In between the projects I wrote my doctoral thesis. From 2010 to 2012 I worked in a research and development project: Knotworking in the Library. The project was conducted in the Helsinki University Library, first in the Viikki Campus Library and later in the City Centre Campus Library. The development method used was the Change Laboratory. The aim was to model, test, and assess in practice new kind of partnership between librarians and research groups. My main responsibilities were conducting interviews, analysing data, planning and preparing development sessions and write reports. I worked under supervision of Professor Yrjö Engeström. The result of the project was a service tray for research groups and knotworking style of working in the library.
