Start-ups and turn-around of the businesses are his strenghts. as angelini’s (leading italian company) regional director central europe, alessandro helped the company achieve outstanding Sales and ebit growth, rationalization across the business, created new regional strategic imperatives and retained & gained new in-Licensing contracts for the region. he rolled-out the start-up in germany. earlier, at ge, he managed the mediterranean and east europe devices p&l with an award winning growth and profit increase during the sluggish market years. as european Operations Leader for ge services in devices and ultrasound businesses he drove double digit ebit growth through executing operational performance projects across the eu. in amgen, reporting to the regional gm, alessandro at first managed the successful regulatory and Pricing & Reimbursement start-up operation in 8 countries, built a distributor infrastructure for the non-eu east countries, and finally, as a Commercial Director cee drove double digit growth across his geography. he drove the Project Management of the start-up direct Operations in russia. earlier, alessandro served in management technical and commercial roles at baxter, wyeth (eurand), and smaller italian pharma businesses. he has a cum-laude Chemistry degree and holds and international baccalaureate achieved at the united world colleges. alessandro is fluent in English, italian, slovene. he speaks German, some serbo-croatian, French and polish.
