Summary

presently, i work in the role of a hospitalist quality improvement liaison with alberta Health services, the single provincial Health organization in alberta, canada. this role has me coordinating quality improvement projects by understanding both Physician and patient care needs and ensuring a successful Translation of those needs into Healthcare solutions. i am currently looking for Career opportunities in the netherlands. i have a dutch passport, making me eligible to work in europe. as a graduate of a master of Sciences in Healthcare Policy, Innovation and management from the University of maastricht in the netherlands, i have a strong interest as well as theoretical and practical knowledge in Healthcare improvement. i also have Clinical experience working within the Healthcare setting. following graduation from my bachelor of Nursing, i gained employment as a registered Nurse. i also spent time in a Leadership role on the Nursing unit as a Nurse clinician.

    in this role, i functions as an integral Member of the hospitalist team, specifically in relationship to quality improvement initiatives. i collaboratively develop, coordinate and facilitate with physicians and key stakeholders, such as operational leaders, patient care managers, educators and Nursing staff, in the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives to optimize care. key tasks: • communicate effectively with physicians, interdisciplinary team members and stakeholders by presenting at meetings and providing feedback to team members • coordinate the development and implementation of qi initiatives by developing project plans and timelines, identifying and resolving issues impacting project implementation, monitoring project milestones and deadlines, summarizing and disseminating quality and performance data and evaluating project outcomes. • critically analyze and apply Research findings in the areas of best Clinical practice, quality improvement and Change Management in the selection, development, implementation and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives.     acted as a charge Nurse for the shift, overseeing the staff nurses relating to the care of all infants on the unit. key tasks: • collaborated with management, physicians and Clinical Nurse educators to identify learning needs of staff and ensure appropriate Education and follow-up is completed • initiated a change project amongst all staff and disciplines addressing the current discharge process utilizing tools from lean, pdsa cycle and Change Management to improve the continuity of care to the community
