The daily management of a privately owned health center of which I was 100% owner. Here I had to manage income and expenses, determine advertising budgets and campaigns, recruiting and, if necessary, laying off staff, people management (at a given time I employed 5 people) create invoices and pay, manage balance (cash book, daily papers, etc. ..). Before I started I did the market research and the financial plan myself.

Launch of new products as Avandia (diabetology) at the general practitioners through guidance of the informants and the organization of general practitioners as well as scientific evenings by guiding an endocrinologist as a speaker or if needed I was the scientific speaker myself. I had full ownership of my own agenda and was only accountable to the sales manager. Further down the line also responsible for sales of the (new) products.

Pre-launch of a new medical product before it was available in Belgium. Guide the endocrinologists and geriatricians and help with placing and monitoring studies with patients. Always equip specialists with enough new information and give lectures to specialists whom regularly operate in other fields. Manage team-meetings with both sales manager, product manager and also with the medical director. Manage and decide on budgets for the sales departments. Report on a regular basis to the sales director. Thorough training on nutrition and diabetes. Follow along with the Professor of Endocrinology at UZA (Prof. Van Gaal) to get an optimal indication what diabetes is and what the consequences are.
Winner all-stars (this is an award for the best increase in sales of "my" products which is evaluated over the numbers for Belgium viewed over 1 year).
