The core of my interest and expertise has always been the measurement of human cognitive performance and behaviour as well as their biological markers. I hold a chair in Experimental Psychopharmacology at the department of Neuropsychology & Psychopharmacology, Faculty of Psychology and Neuroscience, Maastricht University. My research projects focus on validation of models and markers for diagnostics and follow-up in Alzheimer’s Disease, Schizo-/Affective Disorders and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. I have worked 10 years in pharma industry, in GSK Cambridge, UK and subsequently in Roche, Basel. Functions: Global responsibility for Neuropsychology research - company cognition strategy - design and implementation of cognitive assessments in studies of potential new medicines in early development targeting Cognitive Impairment in Alzheimer’s Disease, Schizo-/Affective Disorders and Neurodevelopmental Disorders - in early development.
