During my studies I have attended different cities and universities and always been driven by the desire to satisfy my curiosity, expanding my knowledge, seeking excellence and experiencing new cultures. I started in Lausanne, in the french part of Switzerland, where I got a BSc in Chemistry and Chemical Engineer from EPFL and I learned French. After three years I moved to Zurich, in the german part of Switzerland, where I started the Master in Process Engineering at the ETHZ and I got a smattering of German. Since I have been able to complete all my courses in one year I took the opportunity to do a 5 months internship in the Italian part of Switzerland and to start the Master's thesis at the Imperial College of London. My most relevant academic work is the Master thesis that carried on at the Imperial College of London. It consisted in a six months research work where I had to design, built and operate an entire pilot plant for the production of amine-based ionic liquids. Colleagues know me as a highly curious, creative and reliable engineer who can always find new approaches to the problems. However, I know that sometime business comes first, and I never try to impose my ideas on others. Instead, I spend a lot of time understanding the business and the audience before suggesting ideas.   • Process Engineer
    Since January 2016
    In this role I will be responsible for the following activities: -Manage the cytotoxic manufacturing department -Develop containment strategies by applying state-of-the-art technologies in the field of nano-containment for cytotoxic drugs manufacturing -Develop continous improvement strategies -Perform risk analysis/quality risk analysis of new infrastructures/applications -Provide competence on process development, optimization and validation -Lead/support investigation and change control -Conduct all duties in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements -Creating or updating Batch records, SOP... -Attend internal/external meetings and trainings as appropriate and disseminate information to the project teams

  • Assistant Research Engineer
    February 2015 --- August 2015
    Master's Thesis: Design, Construction and Operation of a Lab-Scale Pilot Plant for the Continuous Production of a Protic Ionic Liquid This thesis consisted in designing, constructing and operating a pilot plant for ionic liquids production. The biggest challenge was managing the high exothermicity released by the investigated synthesis. During the design phase, I built a mathematical model to calculate the reactor geometry. This phase included calorimetric analysis. The construction included the assembling of all the plant, including the programming of a DCS. The last step consisted in operating the plant. After having developed a SOP a detailed commissioning was conducted. Finally, the plant achieved a steady production in agreement with the design specifications, which confirmed the design approach to be successful.

  • Process Engineer
    September 2014 --- January 2015
    The main task of the internship consisted in performing a feasibility study for the production of syngas starting from natural gas by using different processes. The scope of CASALE was to develop the conceptual design of different possible processes for the production of a specified front-end and provide performances and budgetary quotations for each of them. The objective of the study was to define the most economic flowsheet and technology for the syngas generation unit. Website:
