I recently obtained my PhD in Science: Biology and am currently looking for a new challenging job in the Biotech sector. I have a broad scientific interest and am looking for a job where I can fully exploit my analytical and management skills.

I work as a scientific researcher in the lab of Protistology & Aquatic Ecology (Biology dept.) and the Plant Systems Biology VIB-department. I conducted research on the life cycle of diatoms, using tools like genome sequencing, RNA-seq, RT-qPCR, ... I worked on several related topics: - mating type determination (identification MT locus) - a transcriptomic study of the different life cycle phases - pheromone signalling - the development of a protocol for stable genetic tansformation of Seminavis robusta.

I worked as a scientific researcher in the Laboratory for Molecular Microbiology and Biotechnology in preparation of a PhD. As there was no funding available, I move to Ghent University.
