I am fascinated in most aspects of molecular biology and my lab experience has enabled me to become proficient in a number of molecular biological techniques such as quantitative polymerase chain reaction, sample preparation for RNA seq, cloning, western blotting, slot blotting, immunohistochemistry, in situ hybridisation and understanding genetic outputs of transcriptome based sequencing. I have also had experience with recombinant protein work, antibody development, radioimmunoassay, in vitro tissue culture techniques, FPLC and enzymatic-colorimetric assays (GPO-PAP and CHOD-PAP).

Past Experience

  • Research Scientist New Zealand
    January 2013 --- June 2015

Carried out numerous molecular biology techniques following on from my PhD research. Also supervied multiple post-graduate students and trained technichal staff in numerous techniques.
