My main research field is in vitro drug metabolism. My career goals is to apply and expand my knowledge in this field by supporting the development of safe and effective new drugs. My specific areas of expertise are (i) metabolite ID and determination of drug metabolism pathways, (ii) enzyme kinetics, (iii) reaction phenotyping, (iv) drug-to-drug interactions (direct and metabolism-based) and (v) method development and validation (FDA guidelines). I have experience in using targeted (LC-MS/MS) and untargetted (LC-QTOF) approaches, as appropriate. So far I worked with sub-cellular preparations, but I am eager to quickly learn how to work with hepatocytes. Humans are the main species of interest, but I have knowledge to work with animal models as rats and mice, too. My expertise suits well a "Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics" department of a pharma/biotech company, where I am seeking new career opportunities.
