Summary

During my PhD, I developed several new metal oxide nanoparticles for biomedical applications. This included their synthesis and surface functionalization (with custom-made polymer ligands), as well as coating with antibodies. My research resulted in several publications, international presentation opportunities and awarded follow-up grants. As the lab responsible, I developed strong leadership and management skills. I was responsible for the day-to-day organization of a lab, including coordination of equipment maintenance, general health and safety, ordering consumables and ensure an orderly research environment. Specialties: ✔ application development ✔ advanced (in)organic synthesis ✔ scientific grant proposal writing ✔ coaching and supervising new scientists ✔ identifying opportunities in research ✔ lab management ✔ multidisciplinary product development ✔ communication (written and oral)
