I am currently working as a bio-informatics PhD student at Ghent University researching the DNA of marine organisms. I am very passionate about combining biology and computer sciences to gain new insights in how these life-forms evolve and adapt. What I truly love about my work is developing and programming new methods to solve problems and thoroughly document each step along this path.
- next-generation sequencing
- gene prediction
- data mining
