I have 3 years experience as a laboratory professional, 1 year at Bayer Cropscience and two years as a doctoral student at Ghent University.
During the year at Bayer Cropscience my main responsibility was to perform plant quality control for further breeding. Additionally I was responsible for analysis of the obtained data, was responsible for lab safety and was involved in the project meetings.
The last 2 years I have been working as a PhD- student at Ghent University on a project focussing on interactomics where my responsibility was to further characterize a found interaction and find out more about the functional role of this interaction. Besides performing several different laboratory experiments, I also analyzed and interpreted the data obtained from these experiments, read and understood scientific literature and reported to both internal and external collaborators by both making reports and giving presentations.
As the PhD-project I was working on has ended due to financial problems, I am currently looking forward for further employment in the life sciences industry.
