over the last fifteen years, i have been a part of numerous professional engagements in multiple capacities; and therefore, i have gathered a good mix of technical, scientific and managerial experiences in maternal and child health Research and development. during the early years of my Career, i gained experience and skill as a pediatrician and field manager for maternal and child health services. since then, i have ventured into more tertiary fields as an independent Clinical and Public Health Researcher for the improvement of maternal and child health services. the Research projects that i have worked on were quantitative and qualitative studies--conducted in collaboration with national and international organizations. a spent considerable time in my professional Career on facilitating Training, including monitoring and evaluation of the performance of trained community and facilities based health service providers at various levels. i have experience in the designing and development of Clinical standards and guidelines, and implementation and Quality Assurance of such community-based interventions. furthermore, i have continued to contribute as a Consultant for non-profitable national and international organizations dealing with maternal and child health. the administrative positions that i have held over the years in public and international organizations have always required me to work with and supervise a large number of staff members. these positions have refined my managerial and Leadership skills, including my ability and confidence in making immediate decisions, and facilitating good Teamwork where there is motivation to deliver the services at optimum quality.
Research and Analysis have been integral to my core skill and experience. being part of conceptualization, implementation, and evaluation of several state-of-the-art Research studies, i have more than 30 Publications as principal author or co-author in peer-reviewed journals and abstract Presentations at national and international conferences.
