I work on in bioinformatics for next-generation sequencing, mainly on Illumina HiSeq/MiSeq data, although previously used Roche-454. I am interested in using sequencing data to identify underlying genetic causes of chronic disease and for regenerative medicine. I'm convinced that third generation sequencing will make a big impact in medicine as sequencing costs reduce and accuracy and speed improve. I am also interested in database software, especially for medical applications. Specialties: Computer programming, medicine, next-generation sequencing, bioinformatics.
