With 20 years of experience in software development and 14 years of experience in management, I'm interested in challenges where I can bring to a team my coaching experience and my technical expertise on the operational, technical and strategic aspect of the software development. I believe in the Agile development methodologies with which I obtain very good results. I successfully implemented the agile approach in various science-oriented projects in which my engineering background, my experience in bioinformatics and in medical devices and my communication skills allowed me to be efficient and productive. One describes me as: • Creative and Sponsor of Change, • Passionate and Persuasive Communicator, • Analytical and Customer Oriented. My management style is oriented towards the development of my collaborators.

  • Bioinformatic Project Coordinator
    January 2000 --- August 2006
Service de Conformation de Macromolécules Biologiques et de Bioinformatique (presently BiGre), was an academic laboratory specialized in the implementation of bioinformatic approaches for the analysis of biological networks. I was coordinator for the development of aMAZE, a system dedicated to the representation, management, annotation and analysis of networks of cellular processes: genetic regulation, biochemical pathways, signal transduction, etc.

  • Engineer Consultant
    April 1997 --- December 1999
UsrConsult (presently MediaXim) is active in the domain of broadcasting and advertising analysis. UsrConsult was proposing highly specialized and personalized services in data analysis to all Belgian TV channels and media sales companies. When I joined, it was a start-up company owned by three individuals. I joined this company as the first employee and when I left it was counting more than 40 staff. My activities were very diversified but always concerned with software development and support.

  • Researcher in Biophysics
    November 1993 --- March 1997
The SCMBB laboratory (see above) was at that time specialized in Biophysics. I worked on the prediction of the 3D structure of proteins by statistical mechanics techniques. I developed a C++ library for protein energy computation with full regression testing. I also acted as assessor for an international community-wide effort to evaluate all methods of protein structure prediction.
