In IBIS I was responsible for Marketing and Commercial activities. According to IBIS procedures, in synergy with other departments and under the direction of the Board of Directors I was responsible for managing existing customers and identifying new customers and new business areas. In agreement with the leaders of other functions and the Presidency I had the responsibility of economic evaluations and financial feasibility of new initiatives and ongoing activities, to draw up tenders, follow the life cycle of the product and services offered by IBIS. I was in charge of the marketing activities related to IBIS and its products and services. I have also been responsible for the design, planning and carrying out of specific and innovative projects dedicated to scientific and territorial initiatives for several pharmaceutical companies.

The function I covered was mainly responsible for five distinct services Media Communication (2FTE) To plan and carry out, on the basis of PR programs the related activities of local and national press conferences, media events, out-door, media trips, one-to-one interviews and media briefs/media tutorials. Medical information (6 FTE) This involves satisfying, through specific bibliographical research, the requests for literature made by Doctors or Interns. Furthermore, by means of continuous updating, the Medical Information Officers offer a series of company users a proactive indication of news or articles concerning competitive products and general pharmaceutical aspects. MI is a responsible part of the process which creates and approves the informative/promotional scientific material. Web Unit (3 FTE) Thanks to the strong interaction of Marketing, Sales, Media Communication, ECM, Med Info and Medica, the web unit deals with the identification of web opportunities and the appropriate instruments to concretely meet the requirements of the company strategies. It also handles the relations with the Editors and the Scientific Societies, owners of the sponsored web channels. In addition, it designs and caries out e-marketing and e-detailing activities structured ad hoc according to the specific business requirements of Marketing and Sales. CME (1 FTE) Its main task is to support the competent company functions to direct them towards high quality and innovative ECM project sponsorships in terms of content, didactic methods, mode of distribution, technological aspects, valorization in terms of positive media spillover effects and divulgation of the contents on the web. Moreover, the structure also handles the control and coordination of ECM activities as well as the presentation of the projects centered at the internal organ of control (CIIS). It also manages the monitoring of the events, quality control (audit) and the validation of the private providers

Nov, 2000 to Dec. 2003: Medical Manager Area Hospital: - Anesthesia, Reanimation and Pain Management - Antibiotic therapy (Apatef, Merrem) - Rheumatology (drugs in development) Jan. 2004 to Feb. 2005: Medical Manager in the Cardiovascular Area The activities of the Medical Manager (R&D management) vary from the definition and management of clinical development activities, to relations with the various Ols and the direct management of initiatives involving institutional client as well as Universities and Clinics. Further actions involve the support of Company relations with the local Health Authorities, in close collaboration with the Regulatory, Pricing and Safety Departments. As for products in development, the task of the Medical Manager is, in particular, that of coordinating with the Clinical Research Units with respect to the development phases and the additional clinical-scientific activities necessary for the definition- verification of the product profile of new drugs. Close collaboration the HQ structures is also required above all in the pre-launch phase of the drug, both in terms of the proposition of protocols/projects for local research, and the verification of the applicability of international projects. The role of the Medical Manager is, furthermore, directed towards the definition of the medical activities needed for the commercial development of the products and the competent areas, in close collaboration with marketing and sales. The local strategic choices are made by the area team composed of the Medical Manager, the Marketing Manager and the Sales Manager. The Medical Manager is responsible for the definition and management of the budget required by the above mentioned initiatives. Medical Advisers work, together with the Product Manager, under the Medical Manager’s supervision for the single products that they are responsible for, in order to meet the defined objectives.
