Master graduation research on the effect of the type of priming and claim on the consumption of an indulgent food product (consumer behavior and food marketing).
The overall objective of my research was to create insights into the consumers’ reaction to claims and priming on indulgent food products. The relevance was to provide advice and recommendations to food marketers and customers on how to communicate the nutritional value to the end consumers.
During my internship I was responsible for leading a project for Puratos. Some of my tasks were the following:
- Carried out an extensive literature research and defined a conceptual model
- Set up an experimental design in collaboration with an experienced team
- Collected and analyzed data with SPSS
- Reported results to the Research and Development team and Food Marketing team by giving presentations

I learned to perform duties and responsibilities of a dietitian. For each individual patient, I calculated nutritional requirements based on an assessment of blood, mobility, preferences, and other relevant factors. Additionaly, I gave advice in order to achieve a health-related goal and provided dietary modifications with patient education and supervision.
I worked as part of a multidisciplinary team consisting of medical professionals to realise the optimal care for the patient. In this clinical setting, I focused on different areas such as nephrology, neurology, and intensive care medicine.

I worked closely together with a multidisciplinar team in the care of patients diagnosed with Multiple Sclerose. I provided nutritional advise to improve their quality of live. I encouraged patients to follow the nutritional assessment to prevent symptoms of MS.
