As a medical doctor and public health professional, I am passionate for improving health where unmet medical needs are the highest. This is how I obtained more than 15 years experience spanning both developed and developing countries, from patient care to health system programming, from clinical to epidemiology / health outcome research, and from public to private sector. This broad background enables me to translate concepts into effective strategies, innovative solutions into access program, and evidence into policy for the benefit of patients. My expertise covers global acute to chronic health challenges such as sexual and reproductive health , HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other infectious diseases, Ob/Gyn & gyn oncology. Vaccines development and CSR in the pharmaceutical industry. I am now looking for a new challenge where I will contribute to bring on the market new life saving interventions.

    I lead the disease elimination programs for malaria and leprosy, I have developed the strategic plan and defined the portfolio of projects, I bring scientific and managerial leadership into large scale elimination projects, and other projects such as epidemiological modeling, health outcome and biomarker research, I initiated the leprosy diagnostic test development strategy, I manage of the donation for leprosy multi drug treatment to WHO I develop new business collaborations with implementing partners, I chair steering committees for the implementation of projects, and organise expert meeting for specific consultations on disease elimination I represent the Foundation in external fora

Past Experience

  • Senior medical epidemiologist, R&D vaccines
    August 2008 --- February 2014
    I provided medical and epidemiological expertise for the development of the HPV, malaria, tuberculosis, HIV vaccines and other communicable diseases, supporting internal functions from discovery to life cycle management. I led, designed and managed implementation of multicountry studies following the ICH GCP guidelines (pharmacoepidemiology, effectiveness, health outcome and burden of diseases) I reviewed literature, conducted database analysis, and epidemiology and health economic modeling I designed the first vaccine Phase IV program entirely in Africa for the malaria vaccine, I included in the program capacity building for pharmacovigilance and diagnosis of AEFI, and the development of a safety database to sustain vaccine safety monitoring. I interacted with African governments, international stakeholders, experts and KOL for the design and preparation of this phase IV, and organized advisory boards. I contributed to global vaccine development strategies, phase I to III clinical development/project team, safety review, risk management plan. I was core member of a disease mapping team to redefine the new vaccine pipeline. I led cross functional teams for implementation of studies
