I'm a research scientist in Microbiology, focus on Mycobacteriology, dedicated in tuberculosis field.
My main research interest focuses on the development of new diagnostic tools for tuberculosis, and on the exploration of mechanisms responsible for drug resistance, by phenotypic and molecular approaches, screening of new TB drugs, transcriptomic and proteomic studies. I'm also interest in the study of non-tuberculous mycobacteria.
I'm the co-chair of the International TB Research Consortium “EurolacTB” (European-Latin American-Caribbean-Tuberculosis) a consortium of 68 recognized scientists working in tuberculosis in Europe and in Latin America http://eurolactb.strikingly.com/
Doctoral Researcher Belgium
Since September 2016
I'm an expert in tuberculosis research in the fiedl of new diagnostic tests and drug resistance detection with almost 20 years of experience.
