I am a versatile business driven people leader. Having worked across much of the pharmaceutical value chain, I thrive in cross functional environments where the focus is on delivering business growth. For me, quick learning and business acumen have been essential in moving between different functions. In my recent roles, I have engaged in all elements of the market work in pharmaceutics including market access, medical affairs, learning and development, commercial strategy, sales execution, commercial excellence, market insights and – although less pronounced – public affairs.   • Head of Dermatology (Business Unit Director) and Country Lead, LEO Norway
    Since January 2014
    The LEO Pharma Nordic organisation was built for the purpose of reaching new levels of collaboration across the Nordic countries and capitalising on synergies. I am accountable for the dermatological business unit with full PnL responsibilities across the Nordic markets. Furthermore, I serve as the Country Lead for LEO Pharma Norway. Following am optimisation of the Nordic organisation in late 2012, the LEO Nordic Dermatology team has launched a new solution for patients each year since then. A testament to the great ambitions that LEO has for becoming the preferred dermatology care partner and equally a strong testament to this team's ability for executing. We work across a wide range of dermatological diseases including psoriasis, acne, actinic keratosis, atopic dermatitis and skin infections. Whilst the primary part of our business is Rx, we have now started working closer to patients in the cosmetics/OTC field with the Locobase products that LEO recently acquired.

    The business unit was responsible for all sales and marketing activities in the Danish, Swedish and Norweigan markets within LEO Pharma's strategic product disease areas of Actinic Keratoses and Psoriasis as well as the established dermatology brands within Skin Infections, Atopic Dermatitis and Acne. Product launch: LEO Scandinavia launched an exiting product, Picato(r) for the topical treatment of Actinic Keratoses in 2013. This is the first New Molecule Entity in this therapy area for a long time and proved an interesting challenge in terms of market access and how the novelty of this product was perceived by the payer authorities. Following a turbulent period for the company due to staff redundancies, we worked with improving empowerment, change readiness/acceptance and optimisation of working processes. There was also work directed at improving cross functional sharing to build our capacity whilst retaining adaptability and our ability to deliver on our objectives.

    In addition to the Business Controlling and Business Process optimisation responsibilities, the role also includes managing the Business Services department and the IT-department. Furthermore, we established a local procurement function within the UK affiliate in close collaboration with the global procurement department. A significant part of the responsibilities in this role were special projects such as product divestment, patent litigation management, site divestment, process optimisation, technology implementation etc.

    - Leadership of cross functional project teams - Activity prioritisation and planning across various functions of the company incl. pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, sales and marketing, finance, regulatory affairs, clinical development, non-clinical development, in vivo pharmacology, global project management etc. - Coordination with various steering committees - Assessment of business opportunities within anti-infectives both in terms of new geographies (e.g. China) and new products.

    I served as a personal assistant to the head of R&D activities (Senior Vice President). The job included tasks such as financial monitoring, interactions with executives on behalf of the SVP, planning R&D management activities, setting up joint meetings etc.
