    Advanced Medical Diagnostics is a privately held start-up engaged in development and commercialization of HistoScanning™ technology, a novel ultrasound-based tissue characterization application for management of patients at risk for prostate cancer. Developed and executed AMD’s transformation strategy specifically directed towards sales and marketing. Transformed the sales and distribution model with very strict budget constraints. Built and managed the commercial organization consisting of sales and product managers, marketing, application and sales operation specialists. Successfully repositioned the HistoScanning product and introduced the new product in key markets.

    May 2010 --- September 2012
    TomoTherapy,a public company that developed, marketed and sold innovative radiotherapy solutions, was acquired by Accuray Incorporated in June 2011. Led direct sales in Belgium and The Netherlands and indirect sales in the UK of devices for radiation therapy and radiosurgery.

    GE Healthcare Lunar and formerly the Lunar Corporation is a leading manufacturer of dual-energy x-ray absorptiometry (DXA) to measure bone density. Recent technology development focused on using DXA technology to quantify body fat distributions, useful in indicating cardiometabolic disease risk. Developed the DXA business in the European metabolic health market. Directed the global marketing effort in new product introduction (NPI) process for the metabolic health products.

    Managed sales and distributors in more than 20 countries having full P&L responsibility. Increased the revenue with 50% in 4 years of consecutive growth. Accomplished to develop Eastern Europe to the second largest region in terms of profitability within the Lunar EMEA organization.

  • Clinical Information Manager EMEA
    January 2003 --- October 2004
    Successfully initiated clinical marketing in Europe for the Lunar bone densitometry devices. Performed and presented clinical studies to validate new products and software features in close collaboration with key opinion leaders.

  • Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Research Assistant

    Conducted “structure based drug design” in the vitamin D field using protein x-ray crystallography and molecular modeling. Taught and coached PhD-students and undergraduate pharmacy students. Co-authored 17 publications (16 in peer reviewed international journals - 1 book chapter).
