Carla Megens-Bastiaanse is born in 1975, graduated high school in 1994. She went to the University of Nijmegen and studied Biomedical Health Sciences. She finished this study in 1998. Afterwards, she went to Switzerland to perform her PhD project: Loading and relexes: the influence of body load and interlimb coordination on relfexes during walking. She finished het phD project in january 2003 and worked 2 years as post-doc at the Radboud University Nijmegen at the departments Medical Physics & biophysics and the department of Rehabilitation.
In 2005 she switched to a hospital function and after an eduction of 3 years, she graduated. She works as an clinical perfusionist ever since.
