I'm Antonio Palazzo, I am a laboratory technician with a Chemical Engineer’s Degree.

I am currently living in Barcelona, Spain but I am willing to relocate anywhere in Europe because my contract expired few days ago and I would like to find a new job in another country of European Union.

As you can see in my CV I am working as laboratory technician for DC Fine Chemicals (that actually is a London based chemical company but with warehouse and laboratory close to Barcelona).

In this year I gained a lot of experience on a wide range of analytical methods and techniques because my company is dedicated to the sale of a great variety of chemicals as bulk chemicals, pharmaceutical feedstock and diagnostic reagents.

I consider myself a versatile person with good analytical skills, attentive to detail and I easily adapt to new situations. I am also very curios and I like to learn different things every day.

I can also speak and write correctly and with a good level a lot of languages: English, French, Italian, Spanish, and Portuguese.

I am available for an interview at any time, and should you require any further information then please don’t hesitate to contact me.

Past Experience

  • Laboratory Technician Cornellà de Llobregat, Spain
    March 2017 --- September 2017

I have been working as laboratory technician for DC Fine Chemicals, in Cornellá de Llobregat, Spain, performing Quality Control tasks on a wide range of chemicals: inorganic salts, organics reagents, biological stains etc…

Most of the analysis were carried out following the norms of European Pharmacopeia and in some cases those of US Pharmacopeia.

  • Research Trainee Barcelona, Spain
    December 2014 --- July 2015

I have carried out my Master’s Degree thesis about “Study of phthalates photodegradation by UV spectrophotometry, HPLC-DAD, HPLC-MS and chemometrics tools”, in CSIC-IDAEA, Barcelona, Spain with the professor Romá Tauler.

The aim of the study was evaluating the photodegradation of environmental pollutants by the means of UV spectrophotometry, UHPLC-MS and UHPLC-DAD. All data were analyzed with MCR-ALS algorithm using MatLab software in order to obtain the number of chemical species involved, their profiles of concentration and their UV and MS pure spectra.

  • Trainee Barcelona, Spain
    February 2013 --- December 2013

I have carried out my Chemical Engineer’s Degree thesis about “Comparative analysis of wines by Gas Chromatography”, in EUETIB-UPC, Barcelona.

I have been analyzing in particular higher alcohols and volatile esters; although the equipment with which I am working is quite obsolete I can say that I learned a lot about gas chromatography and sample preparation (distillation, extraction, SPME)
