MediFood is producing MediDrink Plus - a "food for special medical purpuses" (FSMP) product for the treatment of disease related malnutrition and cancer cachexia. This prescription product has been registered in the EU and marketed already in Hungary with 70% reimbursement for the above indications. MediFood GmbH is looking for business partners to launch the MediDrink Plus portfolio in other EU countries as well.

As member of a team of 3 BDMs I was responsible for the business development activity of GSK’s CE Region – 12 countries (PL, LT, LV, EE, CZ, SK, HU, RO, BG, SL, MT, CY). Activities reported to the project sponsor I have developed the Generic strategy of GSK for the region. I actively participated in the search, assessment and in-license activity of patent protected assets (PPAs) as well. I frequently traveled in the region in order to identify new potential collaboration opportunities and partners. Beside the historical core businesses of GSK - like respiratory, anti-thrombotic, metabolics, antibiotics, CNS, hospital products – I also actively looked for new assets on the dynamically developing therapy areas like oncology and monoclonal anti-bodies. I worked closely with legal, regulatory, market access, intellectual property, supply and quality teams in order to maximise the outcome of the acquisition of the new assets. I actively managed the full generic in-licensing activity of GSK in CE (11 assets in oncology, antibiotic, cardio-vascular, urology, and CNS areas). Beside this I run 24 new chemical entity (NCE) and PPA projects as well.

During this period of my career I was supporting the operation of the Russian and Ukrainian affiliate of EGIS Plc. I worked closely with GMs Sales-, Marketing-, HR- and Commercial directors in order to improve the profitability of the affiliates and also to manage to reduce the outstandings. I managed also to fill several management positions due to participation in the selection processes.

My major role was to establish stability and reduce the high fluctuation rate as well increasing peoples’ motivation. I was responsible for the operation of the affiliate including the management of sales, marketing, finance, HR, Business development and logistics related issues. New company vision and long term strategy has been developed and communicated. I managed a significant restructuring of the resource allocation, implementation of new ETMS, territory deployment, sales targeting and marketing strategy and tactics. Due to the new and transparent bonus scheme and incentive system the fluctuation rate in the sales force decreased from 40% to 5%. I gained significant team and people management experience.

During this 3 months I started to create and implement a new territory deployment and targeting system as well as a new motivation and bonus system for the sales force. In the marketing I have reviewed the existing marketing strategies of the different portfolios (Oncology, CNS, Cardio-vascular, Respiratory-allergy, Dermatology) and developed new positioning and messages and created new marketing materials accordingly.

In this position I was responsible for the global marketing strategy, marketing support, facilitation and orientation of the foreign markets of EGIS concerning the Allergy, CNS and Oncology supportive (anti-emetics, bone metastasis and pain) products in order to increase marketing and sales effectiveness and profitability. During my regular visits I reviewed the business performance and ensured that global marketing strategy was implemented according to the local specification. By organising global and regional marketing events I coordinated global product launches and facilitated the communication between the countries in order to utilise the opportunity of implementing best practices. In this position I worked closely with business analysts, sales specialists, pricing and reimbursement specialists, training, logistics and supply chain managers at global and country level.
Global Brand Medical Manager

In this position - working closely with the global strategic marketing team - I supported the global brand strategy of Xyzal (Anti-allergic H1 Histamine receptor antagonist) one of the largest brand of the UCB–Group. My major responsibility was working closely with marketing, supporting the brand strategy, managing opinion leaders, advisory boards, coordinate and facilitate product related scientific communications and events at international level including international congresses, symposia, CME events. I worked closely with internal and third party medical writers creating scientific publications and also supporting OLs in publishing IIS (Investigator Initiated study) results. I managed the product publication plan.
