    During the last year in the University of Milan, I worked in the Pharmacological and Biomolecular Sciences Department. Together with the Lab team we investigate how, after the activation of the nuclear receptor LXR, the Neuroactive steroids act in the peripheral nervous system as protective agents for acquired or inherited peripheral neuropathy. Throughout this period I have been in charge of purification and extraction of the Steroids from solid samples, I have learned the basis of Liquid Chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, the use of linear ion trap-mass spectrometer (LTQ,Thermo Electron) and how to analyze the results with ANOVA.
