Summary

my Career to date has been highly successful but also quite extraordinary. i started out with a bsc in applied Chemistry and international Economics, which led me into the shanghai offices of basf, the largest chemical company in the world. my role was key Account Manager in the automobile division, and those accounts were giants such as general motors, volkswagen and red flag. from china, i travelled to my new country, france, where i undertook an MSc in Chemical Engineering followed by a specialised master's in international Marketing and Strategy. i was contracted by erament, a mining and metallurgy company, to facilitate a joint venture in china. here my ability to speak chinese, French and English proved extremely useful. i researched and wrote a Technology transfer package, helped with negotiations, set up the management structure, and finally delivered technical, commercial and cultural Training. my next role was in arkema, a chemicals and advanced materials company. i started as global quality manager in charge of 4 plants, 2 R&D centres and the Sales force, so i travelled round the world to ensure quality remained a key priority. i then rose to global Business Manager with responsibility for major direct accounts as well as global Sales teams and a regional distribution channel for 3 product lines. i achieved €multimillions in revenue with considerable profit margins. before my current job, i worked for novozymes in denmark, which is a global Biotechnology company. my title was senior manager, Business Development, though the role is rather more complex than that might indicate. as well as developing business strategies and models, i havd opened new markets for existing and new products. i also managed a factory in canada, with full p&l responsibility; negotiated joint ventures; and leaded projects in areas including R&D and m&a. i am someone who thrives on challenges, and no matter what those challenges are, i always deliver outstanding results.
