Identification of biomarkers for frailty in patients who underwent transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI).
The aim of this study was 1) to evaluate whether a preoperative frailty assessment based on two definitions of frailty can help the heart team to decide which patients to refer to TAVI and 2) to identify biomarkers related to frailty and mortality post-TAVI, in order to contribute to a better prediction of the individual risk related to TAVI.
