Past Experience

  • Pedagogical Advisor - Science team
    January 2010 --- December 2014
Since 2013, as part of the European Schoolnet Academy project, I was in charge of the "Innovative Practices for Engaging STEM Teaching" course. This was a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) massive online professional development course for teachers which I created and coordinated. Additionally, I worked on the Go-Lab project which opens up online science remote and virtual laboratories for the large-scale use in (STEM) education, particularly in relation to curriculum analysis in European countries. Previously, I took part of other EU funded projects such as Spring Day for Europe 2010 (2002-2010) and U4energy (2010-2012), where I was responsible of the conception, development and implementation of the competitions proposed to schools across Europe and beyond. In U4energy I was also in charge of the coordination of national level networks involved in the project dissemination.

  • Waste Prevention Officer
    May 2007 --- January 2010
I worked as a resource person (report writing) with focus on municipal waste prevention at EU level (including composting, dematerialisation, smart consumption and climate change). I made some experience as speaker and moderator at international conferences on waste prevention (Spain, Portugal, Turkey). I have participated in the organisation (logistics and content) of working groups and conferences at international level. I was also involved in the European Campaign for Waste Reduction.

  • Anaerobic Digestion Trainee
    January 2007 --- January 2007
I carried out a research on anaerobic digestion of municipal waste based on case studies (visits of anaerobic digestion facilities in Belgium, France and Germany). The publication (in FR) is called "Q&A on the anaerobic digestion of municipal household waste' fermentable fraction" and can be found on the ACR+ website (members only).

  • Environmental Taxonomy Trainee
    January 2005 --- January 2005
I worked in the identification of Chaobourus species in the framework of bio-indicators of polluted fresh waters.
