As an independent researcher for the past three years, much of my focus has been on structural biology and sequence analysis. In my current position as a Doctoral researcher for VIB, I have learned a great deal of independent research, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skill for bioinformatician. Doctoral study has given me confidence to work in biotechnology industry as independently and as well as a team member.
