o As the supply chain leader (supply chain manager), I was responsible for the supply chain planning for the Specialties plant, one of the 4 production plants in the pharmaceutical production site of Heist-op-den-Berg, Belgium with ownership from the sourcing of components until the delivery of the final products to the customers.
o Coached and led a team of 3 supply chain planners
o Worked proactively with customers and internal and external suppliers to resolve supply and demand issues and improve the service (amongst others by participating in company S&OP meetings, by setting up metrics, tracking the results and defining actions to improve).
o Worked proactively on short, mid and long term capacity planning.
o Lead for the sourcing of all incoming bulk material and active material for the whole site, being 4 production plants.
o Balanced the efficiency of the production plant versus the need for a high customer service, by working with the suppliers and customers on safety stock levels, order policies and other parameters.
o Initiated and coordinated supply chain (discard reduction, portfolio optimization, stock policies, other SCM parameters, …) and other projects that impacted the whole site.
