    Since April 2010
    o As Network Action Lead for the Europe, Middle East and Africa-region, I am part of MSD’s relatively small but global Strategy&Integration team that is re-designing and implementing the future supply chain network for the combined companies. This results often in production sites exiting the network. o I am leading projects in European production sites and work both with local site management and global support functions (HR, legal, global communications, asset, procurement, regulatory, …) o Project Scope: contractual and financial negotiations with possible buyers of the site, transfer of products and quality processes to other sites in the network, retention of confidential data and records, decommissioning of the equipment on site, social plans, works council process o Support development of the supply chain strategy in the region and the company o Presentation to senior management (VP-level) for approval of proposed network redesigns, budgets, savings, timelines and supply.   • Supply Chain Leader & Logistics Projects Heist-op-den-Berg, België
    January 2008 --- March 2010

    o      As the supply chain leader (supply chain manager), I was responsible for the supply chain planning for the Specialties plant, one of the 4 production plants in the pharmaceutical production site of Heist-op-den-Berg, Belgium with ownership from the sourcing of components until the delivery of the final products to the customers.

    o      Coached and led a team of 3 supply chain planners

    o      Worked proactively with customers and internal and external suppliers to resolve supply and demand issues and improve the service (amongst others by participating in company S&OP meetings, by setting up metrics, tracking the results and defining actions to improve).

    o      Worked proactively on short, mid and long term capacity planning.

    o      Lead for the sourcing of all incoming bulk material and active material for the whole site, being 4 production plants.

    o      Balanced the efficiency of the production plant versus the need for a high customer service, by working with the suppliers and customers on safety stock levels, order policies and other parameters.

    o      Initiated and coordinated supply chain (discard reduction, portfolio optimization, stock policies, other SCM parameters, …) and other projects that impacted the whole site.

    o      Coordinated some key new product introduction projects and resourcing projects in the site.

    o      Various supply chain projects: right-first-time exercises, throughput time reduction projects, process improvements, product discontinuations, order quantity optimizations, supplier collaborations, etc.

    o      Created a logistics management dashboard with KPI’s extracted monthly out of SAP R/3 and SAP APO. These data as well as ad-hoc data ERP system exports served for operational planning, budget exercises, direction meetings, etc.

    o      Site coordinator for new product introductions and process changes in close collaboration with different departments on site, in other production sites and in the global organization.
