Currently employed to offer on-site Sales and Technical support to Pharmaceutical, Food and Clinical customers in the UK and Ireland for bioMerieux UK. Main responsibilities include – • Managing sales aspects of Labguard (Environmental Monitoring System). Liaising with new and existing customers, presentations and / or demonstrations, site surveys, bespoke sales quotes, installation, training and after sales support. • Ensuring effective customer coverage within territory, by accurate identification of customer needs, efficient planning and placing relevant priority on visits. All activities recorded in the appropriate calendar and reports generated for each visit in a timely fashion. • Providing on-site and office based product training and technical support for customers. Carrying out on-going training for customers and members of staff at bioMerieux as required. • To liaise with LIMS providers and work with their personnel as well as customer IT personnel to establish interface and network connections between bioMerieux systems and LIMS systems. • Fully trained in the following systems for Rapid Microbial detection, Pathogen and Quality Indicators (Vitek / Vidas / Tempo / Chemunex Cytometry)

Employed as a Senior Associate Scientist and holding full responsibility for the effective management of all 6 Biological Development Labs with 3 direct reports (5 indirect), ensuring audit readiness at all times • Responsible for Maintaining & calibrating a wide range of up to 100 pieces of laboratory equipment. • Gained in depth expertise & knowledge of Cell culture, Viral and Bacterial applications, qPCR / PCR, ELISA, Protein purification, Rheological analysis / Particle Sizing, Liquid formulations and release testing including sterility and microbiological identification • Regularly conducting group & 1:1 training of staff in new equipment procedures, SOPs and work & process flow changes. • Managing sample handling activities within labs, holding responsibility for safe refrigerated storage of 80,000+ retention samples from Clinical studies as per regulatory requirements • Managing vaccine supply storage facility for Biologicals, maintaining cold chain storage in accordance with regulatory guidelines, prioritising & managing despatch of 4-5 vaccine shipments per week to EU & US and logistics. • Work collaboratively with cross functional project teams, ensuring timely availability of Lab scale formulations within group, conducting formulation release testing to check strength & sterility. • Actively represent the group on up to 2-3 global, large & small scale multidisciplinary project development teams on an annual basis.
