Owner and general manager of Hotel Gastronomique De Echoput; who developed a theory on flavour classification and wine and food pairing, that has been wide adopted. My personal goal is getting gastronomy on a higher level through scientific research. i'm a professor at the Hotel Management School Maastricht.The Academy for Gastronomy is my training institute for food professionals, chefs and sommeliers. For research and consultancy of flavor and tasting T.A.S.T.E. has been founded.
